Never thought I'd use or see the word Fascist as much as I have the past few years. In January Keith from crankypressman.com invited printers to an open studio workshop for some revolution practice. We talked about voting, democracy, despair, fear and hope.
In 1943 Woody Guthrie put the message "This Machine Kills Fascists" on his guitar as a symbol of his protest against the elites responsible for the worsening economic and social conditions of the time. But this message is just as fitting for a printing press in today's scene as a guitar. No one is enjoying this election year but let's just hope we don't take a dive into fascism sooner than later.
